About Almarai and the Role

Almarai is a prominent leader in the food and beverage industry, committed to delivering high-quality products. We are currently seeking a highly experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead the entire engineering and maintenance function within our state-of-the-art Infant Nutrition manufacturing facility. This full-time position is integral to ensuring the continuous operational excellence and technological advancement of a highly automated production environment.

Core Purpose of the Role

The successful candidate will be directly responsible for ensuring optimal plant reliability, maximizing operational efficiency, and upholding stringent safety compliance. Furthermore, this role focuses on enhancing overall asset performance and driving continuous improvement initiatives across all engineering functions, which are critical for maintaining the highest standards in infant nutrition production.

Strategic Leadership Responsibilities

• Providing strategic leadership and direction for all preventative maintenance programs, ensuring long-term equipment health and operational continuity.
• Overseeing and directing all engineering projects, from initial concept and design through to successful implementation and commissioning.
• Developing and executing comprehensive CAPEX planning strategies to support facility upgrades, expansions, and technological advancements.

Operational Management and Development

• Implementing and maintaining stringent budget control for the entire engineering department, optimizing resource allocation and cost efficiency.
• Developing, mentoring, and empowering engineering teams to consistently meet and exceed world-class infant nutrition production standards.
• Ensuring unwavering compliance with all relevant quality, food safety, and regulatory requirements across all manufacturing operations.

Required Experience and Technical Expertise

• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in an engineering leadership or management role, preferably within a large-scale manufacturing environment.
• Extensive, hands-on experience with spray drying technology, including operation, maintenance, and optimization.
• Proven expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced packaging systems relevant to the food or pharmaceutical industry.
• In-depth knowledge and practical understanding of infant formula manufacturing processes, from raw material handling to final product packaging.

Work Location

This full-time role will be based in either Al-Kharj or Riyadh, offering an opportunity to contribute to Almarai's operations in a key region.
