About the Role

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Principal Landscape Architect to join their multidisciplinary team on projects in KSA. This role is for individuals looking to develop their international experience with a world-renowned consultant, contributing to design excellence in the delivery of first-class solutions that combine innovation, imagination, and best practice.

Responsibilities

The Principal Landscape Architect will work within a multidisciplinary team of designers and engineers, providing professional design services to clients. Key responsibilities include:

• Establishing project scope and objectives.
• Organizing and implementing the presentation of designs to clients.
• Preparing and maintaining a program for design review and ensuring its implementation.
• Managing the financial aspects of the design process.
• Identifying and managing project-specific risks.
• Setting out and agreeing on design standards and parameters.
• Monitoring the quality of work.
• Preparing design changes.
• Appointing and managing all required sub-consultants or other services.
• Providing technical coordination with discipline heads.

Qualifications and Requirements

Candidates should possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Degree qualification with a professional affiliation.
• A minimum of 15 years of relevant working experience in Landscape Architecture and site implementation.
• Proven design skills supported by a portfolio of work.
• The ability to work independently or lead a team of like-discipline individuals.
• Capability to create designs relevant to the Middle East environment.
• Solid understanding of bid/proposal preparation.
• Familiarity with design, tender, and construction processes.
• Understanding and working knowledge of sustainable design principles.

Required Skills and Competencies

Essential skills and competencies for this role include:

• Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.
• Ability to lead a design team of at least 3 to 4 staff.
• Capacity to make decisions, act on own initiative, and operate proactively.
• Good working knowledge of the following software: AutoCAD, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Sketch Up, Adobe CS5 (Photoshop/InDesign/Illustrator).
