About the Senior Manager - Audit Role

EY is seeking a Senior Manager to join its Audit team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves leading complex audit engagements and contributing to business growth. The role requires a proactive, accountable, and results-driven individual who can manage competing priorities, resources effectively, and communicate clearly.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of audit engagements. This includes defining the audit strategy in consultation with Associate Partners or Partners and executing it in accordance with EY's policies and protocols. You will personally handle complex audit procedures when necessary and lead teams or parts of teams, depending on the engagement's scale. Additionally, you will assist in managing the financial aspects of engagements by organizing staffing, tracking fees, and communicating issues to project leaders. Participation in business development initiatives is also expected.

Key Duties and Tasks

• Lead complex audit engagements and support business growth initiatives.
• Build and strengthen internal and external client relationships.
• Ensure high-quality audit work is delivered to clients.
• Identify and escalate potential risks within engagements.
• Foster a positive learning culture within the audit team.
• Mentor and develop junior team members.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess the following qualifications:

• A minimum of nine years of professional experience in external audit.
• A strong academic record and a professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or CA.
• Experience working with a Big 4 accounting firm.
• Demonstrated experience with the risk-based audit process.
• Experience in coaching, mentoring, and counselling team members.
• Experience within the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) region.
• Proficiency in the Arabic language.
