Senior Project Manager Greenfield Industrial Project

About the Role

Sika is undertaking a significant strategic investment to construct a new manufacturing facility and consolidate existing operations in Saudi Arabia. We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Project Manager – Greenfield Industrial Project to lead the entire lifecycle of these projects. This full-time role is based in Riyadh, Riyadh Province, and requires a professional with over 10 years of experience.

Project Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading projects from concept development and design through construction, commissioning, start-up, and final handover. This involves combining strong technical expertise in industrial construction with proven project management capabilities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with Sika’s global standards and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, engineering, execution, and delivery of greenfield industrial construction and site consolidation projects.
• Develop and manage comprehensive project execution plans, schedules, budgets, risk registers, and resource plans.
• Define project scope, objectives, milestones, and deliverables in alignment with business requirements.
• Coordinate activities across multidisciplinary teams including engineering, operations, procurement, finance, HSE, and quality functions.
• Manage all construction activities to ensure compliance with approved designs, technical specifications, company standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor project progress against schedule, budget, and quality objectives, implementing corrective actions when necessary.
• Oversee contractor and subcontractor performance, ensuring contractual obligations, quality standards, and timelines are achieved.
• Implement robust project controls covering planning, scheduling, cost control, reporting, and risk management, utilizing tools such as Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
• Lead plant commissioning, start-up, testing, and operational readiness activities, ensuring all systems are handed over in accordance with project specifications.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external project stakeholders, including consultants, contractors, suppliers, and government authorities.
• Ensure full compliance with Saudi Arabian regulations, permitting requirements, industry standards, and Sika policies.
• Promote and maintain a strong Safety, Health, Environment, and Sustainability (HSES) culture throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, specifically within industrial construction and greenfield projects.
• Demonstrated technical expertise in industrial construction.
• Proficiency in project management tools such as Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects safely, on time, and within budget.
• Strong understanding of project governance, reporting, and risk management.
