The Role of Senior Quantity Surveyor

Mace is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its team in Riyadh. This part-time role involves managing the commercial delivery of work packages for an ultra-luxury residential and hospitality project. The project includes significant civils and infrastructure scope, collaborating with renowned architects and global consultants, and involves extensive infrastructure, landscape, and built assets delivered rapidly through Mace as a Project Management Consultant with FIDIC Engineer responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial delivery of work packages, partnering with package managers and the project commercial lead.
• Protect project margin, control costs, and drive performance through robust risk and opportunity management.
• Promote Mace's value of Safety First, exhibiting visible safety behaviors and sharing lessons learned.
• Possess technical expertise in local health and safety rules and regulations relevant to the project portfolio.
• Promote a diverse and inclusive working environment and understand the importance of team well-being.
• Ensure robust quality systems are in place and managed in line with service excellence.
• Manage project delivery from inception through design development, planning, contractor procurement, and construction phase in accordance with the overall program and agreed milestones.
• Manage tasks and deliverables in support of senior leaders and project teams to ensure timely and accurate project delivery.
• Manage project budgets and highlight any risks, challenges, and mitigations.
• Support the long-term development of the function or Business Unit.
• Manage design and wider consultant teams collaboratively.
• Lead and manage the project team and relevant stakeholders to achieve strategic project KPIs.
• Actively network, innovate, and seek understanding of best practice within Mace Group.
• Champion safety, well-being, inclusivity, and responsible delivery across projects.
• Deliver projects through clear planning, quality systems, and strong stakeholder collaboration.
• Supervise change and commercial performance with integrity.
• Lead teams to achieve KPIs, share best practice, and unlock potential.
• Manage subcontract packages from procurement through to final account.
• Prepare tender documentation, administer tenders, and support material procurement.
• Report commercial performance, cost control, change, risk, and opportunity to protect margin.
• Collaborate across teams to drive value engineering, reduce carbon, and deliver shared outcomes.
