The Role of Services Director - GCC

As the Services Director - GCC, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, you will play a central role in advancing sustainable transportation within the region. This full-time position involves ensuring operational excellence, financial stability, and customer satisfaction across all service projects. You will collaborate with various internal teams, including Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Commercial, Finance, HR, and Business Development, to oversee service projects and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all service projects across Saudi Arabia, encompassing Metro Operations, Railway System Maintenance, and Transit System Services.
• Ensure safe, reliable, and efficient project execution in alignment with contractual commitments and customer expectations.
• Drive operational excellence, governance, and continuous improvement across all projects.
• Manage the Services portfolio's P&L performance, ensuring financial transparency and effective cost control.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, authorities, and stakeholders within Saudi Arabia’s transport ecosystem.
• Mentor and develop project directors and leadership teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Lead service project directors and manage operations and maintenance activities.
• Contribute to strategic growth initiatives and the development of long-term partnerships.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Transportation, Operations Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
• Over 20 years of experience in railway or urban mobility services.
• Strong operational background in railway or metro operations.
• Proven experience leading large-scale Operations & Maintenance organizations.
• Experience managing complex multi-project service portfolios with full P&L accountability.
• Knowledge of the GCC and/or Saudi Arabia market is preferred.
• Demonstrated strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Experience supporting bids, mobilization, and strategic growth initiatives.
