We are seeking a Sr. Product Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for a full-time position.

Purpose of the Role

The Sr. Product Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and operating product capabilities. This involves developing scalable, reliable, and maintainable engineering solutions that effectively support product delivery and user needs, all while adhering to Masdr’s established standards.

Key Product Engineering Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of product features, owning quality, reliability, and timelines end to end.
• Build scalable and reliable backend and frontend components.
• Collaborate with product, QA, Solution Architect, and design teams, steering technical decisions to meet business outcomes.
• Define and enforce code quality, performance, and maintainability standards across the team.
• Support testing, debugging, and issue resolution.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and technical design decisions.
• Own alignment with engineering standards, security, and best practices.
• Lead deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement, proactively identifying and mitigating risk.
• Participate in sprint planning and backlog refinement, shaping priorities and surfacing architectural risk to inform delivery decisions.
• Mentor mid-level and junior engineers, elevating team capability and engineering maturity.

General Accountabilities and Team Contribution

• Organize and supervise the work of assigned team members to ensure efficiency and consistency with operating procedures and policy.
• Provide on-the-job training and conduct knowledge sharing for junior colleagues to facilitate team objectives.
• Monitor the financial performance of assigned activities against budgets, promptly reporting any variances to management.
• Provide inputs and implement policies, systems, and procedures for the team, ensuring compliance and cost-effective service delivery.
• Participate in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes, and practices.
• Prepare required statements and reports timely and accurately to meet Masdr’s and department requirements.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required.
• Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in software or product engineering.
• Strong focus on application development, system design, APIs, and delivering scalable product solutions.
