About the Structural Design Services Role

Parsons Corporation is seeking a Structural (Design Services) professional for a full-time position in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role requires a Saudi National with 5-10 years of experience in structural engineering design and construction methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project standards, specifications, drawings, and technical documents to ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Verify design-build submissions, including drawings, calculations, design reports, and operating manuals, for compliance with client specifications and project standards.
• Examine contractor submittals, such as materials, construction methodologies, and subcontractor prequalification documents.
• Support senior engineering staff in preparing, reviewing, and consolidating technical reports, investigations, root cause analyses, and engineering status reports.
• Assist in managing project budget, schedule, and adherence to the approved scope of work.
• Provide structural engineering support to multidisciplinary teams, including architectural, MEP, and project controls.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of design and engineering activities.
• Attend and witness inspections, testing, and acceptance activities as required.
• Review and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) concerning structural engineering matters.
• Offer technical support to construction sites and assist in resolving design-related issues.
• Identify discrepancies, evaluate technical challenges, and propose practical engineering solutions.
• Participate in safety meetings and review installation demonstrations of proposed materials and construction systems.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in engineering design and construction methodologies.
• Demonstrated experience in the design and delivery of major heavy civil or infrastructure projects.
• A strong understanding of geotechnical engineering principles and foundation design.
• In-depth knowledge of structural mechanics and structural engineering design practices.
• Proficiency in using structural analysis and design software such as ETABS, SAFE, ******, Revit, CAD, WALLAP, Oasys Slope, TEDDS, SuperSTRESS, FEM, or similar platforms.
• Solid technical knowledge of engineering design software and industry best practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills.

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Experience in rail, metro, transit, or transportation infrastructure projects.
• Previous experience working in Saudi Arabia or the GCC region.
• Familiarity with Saudi Building Codes and local regulatory requirements.
• Experience using AutoCAD and related design software.

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, within the Riyadh Region of Saudi Arabia.
