Supply Chain Manager

About the Role

Prima International is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to oversee all supply chain operations for its frozen bakery manufacturing. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and requires a professional with over 10 years of relevant experience. The role focuses on ensuring the timely availability of materials, efficient inventory management, and reliable delivery of finished products while maintaining cold-chain integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement supply chain plans aligned with production, sales forecasts, and business growth.
• Lead the sales and operations planning process to balance demand, manufacturing capacity, inventory, and service levels.
• Oversee material requirements planning for all ingredients and packaging, considering shelf life and lead times.
• Manage local and international sourcing, supplier evaluation, negotiations, and purchasing agreements.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance to approve suppliers and ensure materials meet specifications and food safety requirements.
• Establish inventory policies, safety stock levels, and replenishment parameters to prevent shortages and expiry losses.
• Oversee warehousing operations, ensuring stock accuracy, batch traceability, and FEFO practices.
• Manage refrigerated transportation and frozen product distribution, maintaining specified temperatures.
• Select and manage freight forwarders, customs brokers, and third-party logistics providers.
• Manage import and export shipments in accordance with Saudi requirements, coordinating with ZATCA and SFDA.
• Oversee customs clearance activities through Fasah and SFDA systems, including registrations, approvals, and inspections.
• Ensure complete and accurate shipment documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates.
• Coordinate with customs brokers and Finance on tariff classification, customs valuation, duties, and landed-cost calculations.
• Develop contingency plans for supplier disruptions, shipping delays, and cold-chain failures.
• Manage supply chain budgets and report KPIs such as forecast accuracy, supplier performance, and logistics costs.
• Lead and develop procurement, planning, warehouse, and logistics teams.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Over 10 years of experience in supply chain management.
• Strong experience in food manufacturing supply chains.
• Practical knowledge of Saudi import, export, and customs clearance procedures.
