Role Overview

The Technical Account Manager (TAM) is responsible for providing proactive support and management to customers throughout their Veeam implementations and beyond. The TAM acts as a trusted advisor, helping clients maximize the value of Veeam's products and services. This role involves the planning, architecture, coordination, and management of post-sales technical engagements, with a focus on architecting and project managing availability solutions, including data protection and monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the delivery and consulting services for Veeam Software solutions, ensuring alignment with design and deliverables.
• Provide overall project guidance, including developing project plans, schedules, communication plans, resource plans, and status updates.
• Assist with solution assessment, design, and post-installation issue resolution.
• Contribute to the estimation of Veeam Software solution implementation efforts.
• Develop technical documentation such as white papers, solutions guides, best practices, and custom documentation.
• Deliver onsite knowledge transfer sessions on Veeam Software solutions.
• Document configurations and completed activities accurately.
• Analyze installed environments to guide optimal Veeam Software configurations.
• Facilitate communication between clients and Veeam support teams.
• Identify opportunities for additional Veeam Software solutions within client environments.
• Provide input for process and documentation improvements.
• Undertake overnight business stays as required to meet company objectives.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the IT industry.
• Relevant certifications such as VMware VCP, Microsoft MCSE, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with project management methodologies like Prince 2, ITIL, PMP, or equivalent.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in technology is required; a combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Hands-on experience with Veeam's core products.
• Proven consulting and project management experience.
• Significant experience and understanding of virtualization technologies, including VMware and Hyper-V.
• Experience with disruptive storage systems and technologies (*, Nimble, Nexsan, Actifio, Veeam).
• Hands-on experience with networking protocols and equipment (*, Fiber Channel, Ethernet, Cloud services).
• Experience with traditional storage and backup architectures (*, EMC, NetApp, IBM, HP/3PAR, Hitachi, Dell).
• Hands-on experience with enterprise applications such as Exchange, SQL, and Oracle.
• Experience with Data Management, Data Protection, and Data Analytics.
• Experience with Kubernetes platforms.
• Extensive experience with Data Center, Business Continuity, and Operating Systems.
• Proven ability to successfully manage multiple simultaneous projects and accounts.
• Working knowledge of cloud technologies, capabilities, and protocols.
• Working knowledge of security technologies and concepts.

Skills and Attributes

Candidates should possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills, along with strong presentation abilities. The role requires an expert understanding of Data Management, Data Analytics, Business Continuity, Data Center operations, Cloud environments, Operating Systems, Networking, Storage, and Virtualization.
