Role Overview

Parsons is seeking an experienced Technical Design Manager to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves developing, managing, and coordinating the design and technical delivery of multidisciplinary project design packages. The manager will ensure quality, compliance, and timely delivery in alignment with client expectations and project goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the execution of design deliverables across multiple projects.
• Oversee the preparation of designs and technical documentation, including drawings, reports, and tender packages.
• Support managers in developing and implementing resource plans, and review/approve discipline staffing budget estimates and assignment schedules.
• Maintain appropriate staffing levels, including temporary personnel, as required.
• Monitor the quality and progress of the discipline on each project to ensure production requirements are met.
• Establish standards and procedures manuals for the discipline and recommend improvements to departmental procedures.
• Participate in recruitment, interviewing, and evaluation of prospective employees; provide personnel development, conduct performance evaluations, counsel employees, and take corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure new employees receive orientation on company policies and procedures and ensure performance within authorized overhead budgets for the discipline.
• Actively participate in and promote the Quality Improvement Program.
• Participate in design reviews, value engineering workshops, and technical and safety coordination meetings.
• Ensure compliance of designs with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Monitor progress and performance of the design team against schedule, cost, and quality metrics.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure integrated design solutions.
• Support the resolution of technical challenges during design development to ensure targets are met.
• Promote digital engineering workflows and quality assurance processes.
• Assist with internal knowledge sharing, mentoring, and development of standard policies and procedures.
• Attend all design meetings to actively contribute, propose effective design solutions, and validate Minutes of Meetings.
• Present proposed solutions across all relevant disciplines to ensure alignment and integration.
• Facilitate clear and consistent communication with all Project Stakeholders to gather necessary information and ensure the implementation of robust technical solutions.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant technical design management role.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate multidisciplinary design projects.
• Proficiency in overseeing technical documentation and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, requiring active participation in project teams and stakeholder engagements.
