About the Role

AIQU is seeking a Technical Project Manager specializing in Disaster Recovery for a 6-month extendable contract position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role involves leading and coordinating IT projects with a primary focus on infrastructure and disaster recovery implementations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare project initiation documents, including project charters, management plans, stakeholder registers, and kick-off decks.
  • Define and prepare detailed project plans, timelines, resource allocations, and budgets.
  • Develop the Scope of Work for IT project implementations.
  • Conduct assessments of existing systems and applications.
  • Lead project kick-off meetings with vendor, IT, and business teams.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, network, security, and application teams to design and implement solutions.
  • Coordinate the implementation of enterprise tools such as monitoring, backup, automation, ITSM, and DR orchestration tools.
  • Identify and manage dependencies across systems including compute, storage, network, and applications.
  • Lead the design and rollout of implementation strategies for Disaster Recovery and other IT projects.
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders and vendors to ensure flawless project execution.
  • Plan and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and DR Drills, ensuring deliverables meet Service Level Agreements (SLA) and technical expectations.
  • Govern change management processes for infrastructure and Disaster Recovery changes.
  • Track and report on all active projects from initiation to closure and handover, covering time, cost, and scope.
  • Maintain regular and optimal communication with all stakeholders, providing consistent project updates to IT and Business Leadership.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT to facilitate timely project decisions and on-time project closure.
  • Manage escalations and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Enforce best practices, techniques, and standards throughout the entire project execution lifecycle.

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in project management.
  • Proven experience in delivering IT Infrastructure and digital transformation projects, with a specific focus on disaster recovery implementation.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver technology projects in an agile environment.
  • Experience in creating project charters, project management plans, project benefits reports, and status update reports.
  • PMP, Scrum Master, or Agile Product Owner certifications are preferred.

Technical Knowledge and Skills

  • Good understanding of cloud domains, networking, application architecture, and security tools.
  • Familiarity with enterprise IT systems such as ERP, ITSM, backup and recovery tools, WAF, and monitoring tools.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively and autonomously across multiple projects with high-level direction.

Project Management Tools

  • Experience working with project management tools such as JIRA, MS Projects, Confluence, or Primavera.

Work Environment

This is a contract position for an initial period of 6 months, with potential for extension. The role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
