About the Role

Aramco Trading Company is seeking a Senior Fertilizer Trader to join its team in Dhahran, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves originating, negotiating, and executing physical fertilizer trades across global origin and destination markets. The Senior Fertilizer Trader will play a key role in developing the fertilizer trading desk's strategy and capabilities within the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Originate, negotiate, and execute physical fertilizer trades (urea, ammonia, MAP, DAP, potash) across global origin and destination markets.
• Develop and maintain relationships with producers, buyers, freight providers, and financial counterparties to build a durable commercial network.
• Structure term and spot deals, including offtake agreements, structured trade finance opportunities, and FOB/CFR arrangements, optimizing margin and risk-adjusted returns.
• Monitor global fertilizer market fundamentals, freight markets, and geopolitical developments to identify trading opportunities and manage exposure.
• Coordinate with Operations, Shipping, Risk, Credit, and Legal teams to ensure smooth execution, documentation, and settlement of transactions.
• Ensure full compliance with sanctions regimes (OFAC, EU, UN) and internal trade compliance policies on all counterparties and cargoes.
• Prepare deal proposals, market analyses, and performance reports for senior management and investment committees.
• Contribute to the development of the fertilizer trading desk's strategy and capabilities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is considered a plus.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in physical commodity trading, with a strong focus on fertilizers or related bulk commodities.
• Demonstrated track record of originating and executing profitable physical trades, including cross-border and structured transactions.
• Solid understanding of shipping, logistics, letters of credit, and trade finance instruments.
• Strong knowledge of international trade compliance and sanctions frameworks.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position based in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. The role requires a willingness to travel internationally and to relocate to Dhahran.
