About the Role

BAE Systems is seeking an experienced WD Instructor CAT III to join their team in Al Majma'ah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is intended for experienced professionals and is restricted to Saudi Nationals only.

Role Overview

The WD Instructor CAT III will be responsible for delivering approved Weapons Director practical and theory subjects, managing Weapons Director Courses, and preparing and reviewing all associated courseware and examination materials. This role requires a structured approach to cadet performance management, academic counseling, and adherence to established procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Instruct approved Weapons Director Practical and Theory subjects.
  • Manage Weapons Director Courses as required.
  • Prepare and review courseware, including lesson plans.
  • Prepare and review test and examination instruments and material.
  • Raise reports on the performance of individual cadets and classes, departmental performance, and other required matters.
  • Counsel Cadets on academic and disciplinary matters according to approved procedures.
  • Invigilate tests and examinations according to approved procedures.
  • Apply Company procedures for configuration control of curriculum and courseware.
  • Utilize the TMIS / LMIS system to maintain accurate training records.
  • Contribute to the preparation of timetables, scheduling, and instructor allocation.
  • Contribute to the acquisition, allocation, maintenance, and use of training resources.
  • Provide an environment that encourages independent learning and a military ethos.
  • Provide feedback to management for service improvement and opportunity identification.
  • Ensure compliance with SHE policy and processes and Duty of Care responsibilities.
  • Undertake all mandatory and developmental training as required.
  • Adhere to acceptable standards of behavior, dress, and performance.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of six years’ experience as a WD, completing not less than 800 live intercepts.
  • Within five years prior to appointment, a minimum of one instructional tour at a WD school or in a WD Systems Training Environment.
  • Former RSAF WD Officer must hold AFSC 1533.
  • Completion of the Advanced WD Course.
  • Completion of the WD Instructor Course.
  • Proficiency in computing and keyboard skills.
  • Fluency in English, equivalent to IELTS 7 level, if not a native speaker.

Desirable Attributes

  • Within five years prior to appointment, experience controlling and instructing in ‘live’ and ‘simulated’ Air Defense environments.
  • Completion of an Instructional Techniques Course.
