Asst Mgr Reservations

About the Role

Le Meridien is seeking an Asst Mgr-Reservations to join their team in Medina. This full-time position involves assisting with the solicitation and management of reservations sales opportunities, focusing on maximizing revenue and ensuring customer loyalty through service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and provide training and work assignments to Reservations Sales staff.
• Actively up-sell business opportunities to maximize revenue and achieve personal and team revenue goals.
• Drive customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.
• Identify new reservations sales business to achieve personal and property revenue goals.
• Understand market conditions, competitor strengths, and economic trends to effectively position the property.
• Monitor same-day selling procedures to maximize room revenue and control property occupancy.
• Respond to incoming reservations sales opportunities and use negotiation skills to close business and contracts.
• Execute and support operational aspects of booked business, including generating proposals and customer correspondence.
• Assist with monitoring the accuracy of reservation sales orders within tracking systems.
• Track no-show reservations, process charges, and manage wait lists.
• Prepare work and maintenance orders.
• Provide excellent customer service consistent with brand standards, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Handle guest complaints and disputes following established procedures.
• Utilize intranet resources and create contracts as required.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3 years of experience in sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or a related professional area.
• Alternatively, a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related major, with 1 year of experience in sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or a related professional area.
