About the Role

Fives Services Gulf is seeking a Mechanical Technician for local hiring to join its teams in Saudi Arabia. This role is based in the Ha'il region, specifically in Baqa and Hail. The position is full-time and requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Role Overview

The Mechanical Technician will be responsible for conducting servicing, corrective, and preventative maintenance of equipment and machinery. This work must adhere to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) standards, and industry regulations. The primary objective is to ensure all equipment and apparatus remain operational to support maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule in a timely manner, complying with company policies, customer specifications, and industry standards.
• Perform administration, configuration, calibration, maintenance, programming, and qualification of assigned equipment and machinery according to established SOPs.
• Conduct repairs and maintenance on Smelter equipment and related machinery as per contractual and customer requirements, adhering to quality and industry standards.
• Utilize knowledge of equipment and mechanical processes to troubleshoot and resolve basic equipment and process errors, recommending solutions using various techniques and procedures.
• Provide on-site support to customers as required, ensuring all equipment, machinery, and tooling conform to relevant standards and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure the technical integrity and performance of mechanical equipment and machinery at all times.
• Understand and ensure all maintenance works and systems operate in line with company, customer, and industry safety standards.
• Monitor equipment and machinery for optimal operational performance and reduction of planned and unplanned maintenance.
• Monitor stock requirements, ensuring the suitability and availability of equipment, consumables, and raw materials, and coordinating timely stock replenishment.
• Gather, record, analyze, and summarize data, preparing reports of works performed as per company and/or customer reporting requirements.
• Ensure maintenance/works records are kept up-to-date with all additions/modifications recorded.
• Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice maintenance processes and procedures to enhance operational performance.
• Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and services to support Fives Services Gulf's sales strategy.
• Comply with all relevant internal and external regulations, including HSEQ requirements, using company policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or vocational certification in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field.
• A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience.

Work Context

This full-time position is located in Ha'il, Saudi Arabia, with specific operational areas in Baqa and Hail. Fives Services Gulf is the Fives service center for the Middle East, with a team of 160 people across Bahrain, UAE, and Saudi Arabia. The company focuses on providing local customer service, project execution support, parts sourcing, refit and modernization projects, audits, and technical assistance.
