About the Role

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Saudi National for the full-time position of Assistant Manager, Front Desk in Makkah or Jeddah. This entry-level management role is responsible for leading and assisting with the successful completion of daily shift requirements across front office areas, including Bell/Door Staff, Switchboard, and Guest Services/Front Desk. The Assistant Manager strives to ensure guest and employee satisfaction, achieve the operating budget, and support financial and administrative responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, influence, and encourage team members, advocating sound financial/business decision-making and demonstrating honesty/integrity.
• Support all day-to-day front office operations and guide daily Front Desk shift activities.
• Coach, counsel, and encourage employees, handling their questions and concerns.
• Manage daily operations to ensure quality, standards, and customer expectations are met.
• Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work.
• Handle complaints, settle disputes, and resolve grievances and conflicts with guests and employees.
• Supervise staffing levels to meet guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives.
• Train staff on adherence to all credit policies and procedures to reduce bad debts and rebates.
• Supervise same-day selling procedures to maximize room revenue and property occupancy.
• Provide services that exceed expectations for customer satisfaction and retention.
• Empower employees to provide excellent customer service within established guidelines.
• Implement customer recognition/service programs and assist in reviewing guest satisfaction results with employees.
• Identify developmental needs of others and provide coaching, mentoring, or guidance to improve knowledge and skills.
• Participate in ongoing employee recognition programs and the performance appraisal process.
• Perform all duties at the Front Desk as necessary and understand the functions of Bell Staff, Switchboard, and Concierge/Guest Services operations.
• Comply with loss prevention policies and procedures.

Candidate Qualifications

Candidates must meet one of the following educational and experience criteria:

• High school diploma or GED with 2 years of experience in guest services, front desk, or a related professional area.
• OR a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related major; no work experience required.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Makkah or Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, within the dynamic hospitality environment of Sheraton Hotels & Resorts.
