About the Role

Shangri-La Hotel in Jeddah is seeking a Sous Chef - Garde Manger for a full-time position. This role is responsible for maintaining high standards in all Commissary/Cold/Butcher preparation, service, and hygiene within the Production Kitchen, in accordance with management standards. The Sous Chef - Garde Manger will have full responsibility for all cold production within their area of competency. The position requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee operations during all meal periods.
• Gather colleague and guest feedback by maintaining an active presence in outlets during operating hours.
• Practice and model the Guiding Principles and Core Values of Shangri-La Hospitality.
• Reduce waste of supplies and materials through re-use or selling.
• Attend scheduled trainings.
• Conduct and attend briefings.
• Coordinate with outlet managers for daily events.
• Communicate regularly with staff through one-on-one counseling.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a similar role.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain high standards of preparation, service, and hygiene.
• Strong understanding of cold production processes.
