About the Role

Shangri-La Hotel in Jeddah is seeking a Storekeeper to manage the hotel's supply chain operations. This full-time position is crucial for ensuring the efficient flow of goods, from receipt to distribution, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The role requires 0-1 years of experience.

Role Purpose

The Storekeeper is responsible for the comprehensive management of hotel supplies and materials acquired through the Purchasing Department. This involves meticulous checking, recording, storage, and distribution of all incoming goods to various hotel departments. A key aspect of this role is maintaining precise inventory levels and implementing proper stock rotation practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and verify goods against purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Confirm the quantity, quality, and condition of all incoming items.
• Maintain accurate inventory and stock records.
• Ensure proper storage of goods, adhering to FIFO (First-In, First-Out) or FEFO (First-Expired, First-Out) principles.
• Issue items based on approved store requisitions.
• Monitor par and minimum stock levels, and inform the Purchasing Department of requirements.
• Conduct regular stock counts and investigate any discrepancies.
• Coordinate effectively with the Purchasing, Receiving, and Cost Control departments.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and secure storeroom environment.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 0-1 years of experience in a similar storekeeping or inventory management role.
• Demonstrated ability to manage inventory and maintain accurate records.
• Understanding of stock rotation methods such as FIFO/FEFO.

Work Environment
