Faculty Member in Occupational Therapy

About the Role

BMC in Jeddah is seeking a qualified Faculty Member in Occupational Therapy. This full-time role involves contributing to teaching, clinical education, research, and student development within the Occupational Therapy Program. The position requires 0-1 years of experience.

Role Purpose and Contribution

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, student-centered education and support the development of students' clinical knowledge and professional competencies. This role also involves contributing to research, academic quality, and community engagement activities, ensuring the preparation of competent healthcare professionals in line with institutional academic standards and accreditation requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality lectures, practical sessions, laboratory activities, case-based learning (CBL), and tutorials in Occupational Therapy and related subjects.
• Apply evidence-based, student-centered teaching methodologies to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
• Integrate relevant clinical knowledge, professional practices, and practical applications into teaching activities.
• Utilize Blackboard (LMS) and other educational technologies effectively.
• Develop and update course materials, teaching resources, and learning activities in accordance with approved curricula.
• Prepare, administer, and evaluate examinations, assignments, and practical assessments using appropriate assessment methods and systems, including ExamSoft.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, assessments, and academic performance.
• Prepare and submit course reports, assessment documentation, and other required academic records.

Qualifications and Experience

• Strong academic knowledge and clinical expertise in Occupational Therapy.
• Commitment to preparing competent healthcare professionals.
• 0-1 years of experience is required for this position.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Jeddah, within an academic setting focused on medical education and student development.
