About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Maintenance professional to join their team in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires 0-1 years of experience and involves responding to guest repair requests and performing various maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve guest repair requests, communicating effectively with guests regarding maintenance issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, and machines for proper functioning.
• Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs for buildings.
• Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
• Communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts using approved communication programs.
• Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and A/C filter replacement, and ensure cleanup of the work area.
• Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on various equipment, plumbing (*, plunging toilets, unclogging drains), electrical components, and other guestroom items.
• Program TVs and assist with general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties.
• Utilize the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work.
• Perform repairs on interior and exterior landscaping, including external landscaping sprinklers.
• Follow all company and safety and security policies, report maintenance problems or hazards, complete safety training, and properly store flammable materials.
• Maintain a professional appearance, confidentiality, and protect company assets.
• Welcome guests, anticipate service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and adhere to quality standards.
• Develop positive working relationships, support team goals, and communicate professionally.
• Lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance, and heavier items with assistance.
• Move up and down stairs, service ramps, and ladders, and perform tasks requiring bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Enter and locate work-related information using computers.

Required Qualifications

• Driver’s License.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or ** equivalent.
• Some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation, and painting.
• Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance is an advantage.

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry, finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and general building maintenance.
• Basic computer skills, including inputting air handler schedules and making temperature changes.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, serving Marriott International properties in the region, including Jeddah and Makkah.
