About the Role

PayNest is seeking a PMO professional for a contract position in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This role involves overseeing the delivery of retail digital journeys within a significant banking transformation program. The program is currently in its early stages, consolidating retail, SME, and corporate channels onto a unified platform.

Role Responsibilities

Working within an independent program management office, the PMO professional will coordinate delivery processes, assess output quality, and provide objective progress views. This role focuses on process assurance and execution, rather than business requirements or platform configuration. Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating the retail delivery cadence across various squads and vendors, including sprint planning, stand-ups, refinement sessions, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Governing the retail backlog in Jira to ensure work is structured, prioritized, traceable, and progresses through the agreed lifecycle with accurate boards and reporting.
  • Facilitating the requirements-management process with retail business owners for onboarding, account services, transfers and payments, cards, and personal finance.
  • Assuring requirements and delivery artifacts before build, identifying gaps, ambiguities, missing acceptance criteria, and risks to long-term operability.
  • Maintaining the retail requirements traceability view from business intent through design, build, testing, and release.
  • Coordinating release-readiness activities, including UAT oversight, defect triage, evidence collation, and gate-status reporting.
  • Producing concise weekly reporting and decision frameworks that translate delivery details into clear views of progress, risks, priorities, scope trade-offs, and required actions for senior stakeholders.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of experience in retail banking digital channels. Essential qualifications include:

  • Sufficient product knowledge to engage product owners on onboarding, payments, cards, or related services.
  • Advanced Jira capability and confidence in agile delivery ceremonies.
  • A strong ability to identify ambiguity, missing details, and control gaps in requirements and delivery documentation.
  • Working knowledge of digital banking architecture, including engagement layers, core banking, payments, fraud controls, and CRM. Experience with a modern platform is advantageous.
  • Ability to transform detailed delivery information into concise, decision-focused material for Steering Committee and executive audiences, supported by strong PowerPoint and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Candidates must be independent of the program's current delivery parties.
  • Clear English communication skills are essential; Arabic language capability is helpful.

Additional Requirements

  • Availability to join immediately or with a notice period of no more than 30 days.
  • Eligibility to work in Saudi Arabia.
  • Candidates holding valid residency in the UAE or Saudi Arabia are preferred.
