About the Role

Tractebel is seeking a dedicated Roads & Civil Engineer to join its professional team. This full-time position is based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, and focuses on the critical field of construction management for significant road and civil works projects.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to provide expert engineering oversight and management throughout the construction phase of various infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring that all road and civil works are executed efficiently, adhere to project specifications, and meet required quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the day-to-day construction activities for assigned road and civil works projects.
• Ensure strict adherence to project designs, technical specifications, and relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Monitor project progress against established schedules and budgets, identifying and addressing potential delays or issues proactively.
• Conduct regular site inspections to verify work quality, material usage, and compliance with safety protocols.
• Coordinate effectively with contractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution.
• Prepare comprehensive progress reports, technical documentation, and project close-out reports as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of demonstrated professional experience in the construction management of road and civil works projects.
• Proven track record in overseeing infrastructure projects from inception to completion.
• Solid understanding of construction methodologies, project management principles, and local regulations.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position requiring a presence in Jeddah and Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The role involves significant on-site work and collaboration with various project teams and external parties to ensure successful project delivery.
