The Role of Sample Prep Technician

SGS is seeking a Sample Prep Technician to join its laboratory team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is crucial for ensuring the quality, accuracy, and safety compliance of laboratory samples through meticulous preparation processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine sample preparation activities in accordance with established laboratory procedures.
• Operate sample preparation equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure prepared samples are representative of the original material and meet all quality requirements.
• Carry out routine cleaning and basic maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Follow laboratory quality control procedures and maintain accurate records.
• Ensure compliance with SGS Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment.
• Report equipment issues, incidents, and non-conformities to the supervisor.
• Support daily laboratory operations to meet sample processing requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 year of experience in a related field.
• Ability to follow established procedures and safety standards.
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in sample handling.

Work Environment

This full-time position is based in a laboratory setting within Jeddah, Makkah. The role requires adherence to strict quality, health, safety, and environmental protocols.
