Supervisor Stewards

About the Role

Delta Hotels and Resorts® is seeking a Supervisor Stewards to join their team in Makkah, with operations in Jeddah. This full-time position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience and involves directing and assisting stewards to ensure efficient cleanup operations and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization within the kitchen and banquet areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and assist stewards to optimize cleanup efficiency.
• Ensure appropriate water temperature and chemical levels for cleaning, and maintain proper documentation.
• Support banquet plate-ups and assist cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks as needed.
• Provide necessary items to cooks and ensure adequate stock for banquet and buffet services.
• Return cleaned items to their designated locations.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, including dishwashing machines, hand wash stations, pot-scrubbing stations, and trash compactors.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards and anticipate their service needs.
• Communicate professionally and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues to achieve common goals.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Capability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Navigate sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces.

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or * equivalent.
• At least 2 years of related work experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Makkah, with responsibilities extending to Jeddah. The role involves working within a dynamic hotel environment, requiring collaboration with kitchen and banquet teams to maintain operational excellence.
