Accor is offering the Tamayyaz – Waiter position as part of its Nationalization Development Program. This program is designed to equip Saudi talents with essential skills and knowledge for various hospitality professions through a combination of classroom learning and on-the-job training within a defined timeframe. This full-time role is based in Jeddah and is open exclusively to Saudi nationals.

Role Summary

The Waiter will be responsible for providing excellent guest service within the hospitality outlet, ensuring smooth operations and maintaining high standards of service and hygiene. This role involves direct guest interaction, order management, and adherence to departmental policies and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend regular training sessions covering guest care, product knowledge, grooming standards, and up-selling techniques.
• Perform daily tasks as instructed by the immediate Supervisor, including basic cleaning, equipment polishing, and table setting.
• Communicate directly with guests to present menus, offer recommendations, take and place orders, and handle payments.
• Ensure proper personal appearance and uniform condition while on duty.
• Greet and seat guests upon arrival in coordination with the hostess.
• Maintain a professional, friendly, and discreet relationship with patrons to ensure their well-being.
• Familiarize oneself with all menus, promotions, and relevant outlet information.
• Report any cleanliness or maintenance issues to the immediate Supervisor.
• Handle guest complaints according to instructions or escalate to the immediate Supervisor.
• Complete all mise-en-place work to meet daily service requirements.
• Report equipment failures or problems to the Maintenance Department.
• Participate in training and development schemes as recommended by senior management.
• Attend departmental briefings and contribute to open communication within the team.
• Treat guests and colleagues politely and courteously, observing high standards of personal hygiene.
• Maintain clean and organized side stations at all times and anticipate customer needs.
• Assist in other areas of the hotel as required by the situation.
• Adhere to company policies and safety procedures, including those related to Fire, Hygiene, Health, and Safety.
• Be familiar with relevant operational standards for the department and carry out other assigned duties.

Operational Requirements

• Collaborate with the hostess to ensure name tags are complete and correctly positioned.
• Ensure business cards and database information are handed over to the hostess for record-keeping.
• Verify that all bills are handed over to the cashier.
• Confirm that all items are charged accurately in the micros system based on guest consumption.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should have 0-1 year of experience in a relevant field. This position is part of a development program, making it suitable for individuals looking to build a career in hospitality.
