Role Overview

SEGULA Technologies is seeking a Commercial Manager specializing in Automotive and Industrial Construction. This full-time position is based in King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) and Makkah, within the Makkah region. The role involves leading critical commercial and contractual functions for a significant industrial construction program.

About the Position

The Commercial Manager will be responsible for overseeing all commercial, contractual, and cost-management activities across a major automotive industrial construction program. This includes managing the entire commercial lifecycle for multiple construction packages, from initial procurement and tendering stages through to contract administration, variations, claims, payments, and final-account settlement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation, review, and negotiation of construction contracts, including FIDIC, NEC, and bespoke forms.
• Manage contract administration, correspondence, notices, contractual obligations, and commercial risks.
• Establish and maintain project cost plans, budgets, cash-flow forecasts, and cost-to-complete reporting.
• Lead commercial tendering processes, BOQ preparation, bid evaluations, and contractor award recommendations.
• Manage contractor and subcontractor prequalification processes.
• Evaluate, negotiate, and settle variations and construction claims.
• Maintain comprehensive change and variation registers.
• Review contractor interim payment applications and milestone payments.
• Manage retention, performance bonds, and advance-payment guarantees.
• Lead final-account preparation and settlement.
• Assess Extension of Time (EOT) and additional-cost claims.
• Support dispute avoidance and resolution efforts.
• Prepare monthly commercial and cost reports for senior management.

Required Experience

Candidates for this role should possess 5 to 10 years of experience in commercial management, specifically within large-scale automotive or industrial construction programs. A proven track record in managing complex contractual lifecycles and cost control is essential.

This full-time position is based in King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) and Makkah, Saudi Arabia, serving a key program within the Makkah region.
