The Role of Academic Head

Hera International School is seeking an experienced Academic Head to lead the academic vision and implementation of the British curriculum. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Jeddah, within the Makkah region. The Academic Head is responsible for overseeing curriculum planning and development, ensuring alignment with educational standards, and monitoring teaching quality across all grade levels.

Key Responsibilities

Support and mentor teachers to foster professional growth and development.
Coordinate professional development programs for academic staff.
Lead academic teams to enhance student outcomes and educational quality.
Review lesson plans to ensure curriculum adherence and effectiveness.
Analyze assessment data to inform instructional strategies and academic targets.
Set clear academic targets for students and staff across all grade levels.
Collaborate with school leadership on the development of policies, timetables, and resource allocation.
Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians regarding academic progress and matters.
Contribute to whole-school initiatives designed to enrich the overall learning environment.

Qualifications and Experience

A minimum of 10 years of experience in an academic leadership role, preferably within a British curriculum setting.
Demonstrated ability to lead curriculum planning, development, and quality assurance.
Strong understanding of educational standards and best practices.
