Role Summary

Accor is seeking an AV Technician to join its team in Makkah, with operations extending to Jeddah. This full-time role is essential for ensuring the seamless operation and high-quality delivery of audio-visual services for various events and presentations within a luxury hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, set up, and configure audio-visual equipment, including projectors, microphones, sound systems, lighting, video monitors, cameras, and video conferencing systems.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly connected, clean, maintained, and fully functional before events or presentations.
  • Operate and control audio-visual systems during events, managing live audio mixing, video switching, and lighting to ensure high-quality sound and visuals.
  • Perform routine maintenance, diagnose, and troubleshoot technical issues with AV systems and equipment, arranging for repairs as needed.
  • Provide technical support to event organizers, presenters, and users of AV equipment, assisting with setup and operation during live events.
  • Collaborate with event coordinators, IT teams, and other stakeholders to meet specific event needs and manage AV equipment inventory.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, repairs, maintenance schedules, setup configurations, operational procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Demonstrate full awareness of recreation facilities, evening programs, and shows, including their technical concepts and requirements.
  • Manage bands or performers during sound checks, stage setup, and coordination of singer or performer riders.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of 2–3 years of proven experience in a similar AV Technician role, preferably within luxury hospitality, events, entertainment, or live production environments.
  • A Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Audio Visual Technology, Electronics, or a related technical discipline is highly advantageous.
  • Strong technical knowledge of professional audio, video, lighting, and conferencing systems, including installation, configuration, operation, and troubleshooting.
  • Proven ability to install, operate, and maintain AV equipment such as PA systems, mixers, amplifiers, projectors, LED screens, microphones (wired and wireless), lighting consoles, and video displays.
  • Hands-on experience with live sound mixing, video switching, lighting control, and show setup for events, conferences, and entertainment programs.
  • Solid understanding of signal flow, cabling, power distribution, and equipment safety standards.
  • Good communication skills in English, with the ability to provide clear technical support to various stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced, event-driven hospitality environment while meeting operational timelines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical issues.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, evenings, weekends, and public holidays in line with operational requirements and event schedules.
