The Role of Cost Manager, Engineering & Construction

Egis is seeking a Cost Manager to join its Engineering & Construction team in Jeddah, Makkah. This full-time role involves managing project costs, developing budgets, and ensuring cost control throughout the project lifecycle. The Cost Manager will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver projects within approved financial parameters while maintaining accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive cost estimates and budgets for engineering and construction projects of varying complexity and scale.
  • Monitor and analyze project expenditures against approved budgets, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions.
  • Prepare detailed cost reports and financial forecasts for project stakeholders and senior management.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses and feasibility studies to support project decision-making.
  • Manage contract negotiations with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to optimize costs without compromising quality.
  • Maintain accurate cost documentation and ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Utilize cost management software and ERP systems to track, record, and report financial data.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement efficiency improvements.
  • Review change orders and assess their financial impact on project budgets.
  • Provide cost management guidance and support to project managers and engineering teams.
  • Ensure adherence to Saudi Arabian construction regulations and local compliance requirements.
  • Participate in project meetings and present cost performance metrics to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in cost management within engineering and construction.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project costs, develop budgets, and implement cost control measures.
  • Proficiency in cost management software and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Saudi Arabian construction regulations and local compliance requirements.

Work Location

This full-time position is based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
