About the Role

Almarai is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to join their team in Makkah, specifically covering operations in Rabigh and Makkah. This full-time role is responsible for ensuring full compliance with company Quality and Food Safety Policies, Quality Management Systems, regulatory requirements, and business objectives within a seafood manufacturing facility.

Role Overview

The Quality Assurance Manager will lead all quality-related processes, personnel, and resources. The position focuses on driving a culture of food safety, continuous improvement, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and maintain site Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Food Safety Management Systems.
Develop, implement, and continuously improve HACCP plans and food safety programs in accordance with ISO 22000 and FSSC 22000 requirements.
Ensure compliance with customer requirements, regulatory standards, and international food safety certifications.
Manage laboratory operations, including microbiological, chemical, and product quality testing activities.
Lead internal and external audits, ensuring successful certification and compliance outcomes.
Monitor quality KPIs, customer complaints, product non-conformances, recalls, and food safety incidents, implementing effective corrective and preventive actions.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality performance, waste reduction, cost optimization, and customer satisfaction.
Manage supplier quality performance, including packaging and raw material suppliers.
Lead hygiene, housekeeping, pest control, and environmental monitoring programs.
Provide leadership, coaching, and development to the Quality team while building a high-performance culture.
Collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to achieve business objectives.
Develop annual departmental budgets and ensure effective cost management.

Qualifications and Experience

5-10 years of experience in the seafood processing industry is essential.
Experience managing food safety systems, laboratory operations, and quality teams in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Experience with microbiological risk management, product quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
Previous experience within a multinational FMCG or food manufacturing organization is highly desirable.
