KONE, a certified Top Employer, is seeking a Quality Engineer to join its team in Jiddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. Role Overview

The Quality Engineer is responsible for assuring quality requirements across the organization. This involves identifying and driving continuous improvement projects through systematic data analysis, inspections, and testing. The role also focuses on building and spreading quality awareness internally by providing training and sharing best business practices, while supporting the Quality Manager in deploying KONE’s quality strategy, governance, and goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Prioritize quality performance improvement based on comprehensive data analysis.
• Utilize continuous improvement methodologies to investigate non-conformances, determine root causes, identify corrective actions, and ensure actions are driven to closure.
• Create and analyze large datasets from multiple platforms to identify trends and patterns.
• Support the Quality Manager with target setting for quality objectives.
• Perform in-process or product inspections and execute measures, tests, sampling methods, and other procedures to validate that requirements are met.
• Maintain and update quality records as required by established quality procedures.
• Share skills and knowledge regarding quality methodology and tools within the organization, fostering understanding and capability development to execute learnings with established quality procedures and standards.
• Support the Quality Manager with internal and external audits.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective actions of Quality Improvement teams within the assigned area.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 4 to 5 years of experience in the Elevators & Escalators industry, with a proven track record in a similar quality-focused role.
• Quality Certificate ISO 9001 is recommended.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Deep knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools.
• Superb computer skills, including proficiency in database management.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in best practices for testing, version control, and defect management.
• Professional certification, such as Six Sigma, CQE, or CQA.
• Excellent skills in standard computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
