The Role: Room Care Technician – Engineering

An opportunity is available for a Room Care Technician – Engineering to join the team at Jumeirah Jabal Omar Makkah. This full-time position is based in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, and focuses on maintaining the optimal condition of guestrooms through efficient technical support and repair services.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand guestroom-related issues, gather necessary equipment, and efficiently assess and resolve problems.
• Perform diverse maintenance tasks within rooms, including electrical work, furniture repairs, and other basic repair jobs.
• Handle inquiries from guests and team members professionally and ensure prompt resolution of room care complaints.
• Complete assigned work orders, conduct room inspections, and accurately document all performed tasks.
• Select appropriate tools and parts from stores and maintain precise usage logs.
• Report observed room damages to supervisors and propose suitable solutions.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 1 – 2 years of experience in a similar role within a luxury 5-star property.
• Secondary education is required; vocational certification and trade qualification are preferred.
• Demonstrated strong technical skills in trade, basic computer literacy, and knowledge of safety and building systems.
• Proficiency in English, with the ability to work independently and adapt to diverse environments.
