The Role: Senior Data Science Consultant – Cards Marketing Analytics

NeoStats is seeking a Senior Data Science Consultant specializing in Cards Marketing Analytics to join the team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This contract role involves applying advanced analytics and predictive modeling to enhance marketing strategies for credit and debit card portfolios. The consultant will be responsible for delivering actionable insights to client teams, leveraging extensive experience in banking analytics, particularly within cards marketing.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop predictive models to identify customer targeting opportunities, increase spend growth, improve retention, and reduce churn.
• Create customer segmentations for credit and debit card portfolios to support lifecycle marketing, campaign strategy, and personalization efforts.
• Analyze campaign performance across various segments, products, channels, and customer behaviors, providing actionable insights.
• Design test-and-learn frameworks, including control groups, campaign measurement logic, and post-campaign performance reviews.
• Collaborate with client teams to ensure analytical outputs are practical, explainable, and ready for business adoption.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 7–8 years of experience in data science, advanced analytics, or analytics consulting.
• Strong banking experience, specifically with credit card and debit card products.
• Demonstrated expertise in marketing analytics, predictive modeling, customer segmentation, campaign analytics, and portfolio analytics.
• Proficiency in Python, SAS, and SQL, with hands-on experience working with large banking datasets, including customer profiles, card transactions, and campaign history.
• Solid understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning, model validation, and performance tracking.
• Ability to clearly communicate analytical outputs to business stakeholders and prepare senior-level presentations, reports, and documentation.
• Experience working with marketing, product, risk, and data teams within a banking environment.
• Demonstrated consulting discipline, including structured problem-solving, ownership, and timely delivery.
• Comfortable working as a contractor on client-facing engagements in Saudi Arabia.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current location in Saudi Arabia, preferably Jeddah.
• Experience in the Saudi or GCC banking market.
• Exposure to card lifecycle analytics, including acquisition, activation, usage, spend growth, retention, and attrition.
• Familiarity with campaign management platforms, CRM systems, or marketing automation tools.
• Experience with A/B testing, uplift modeling, next-best-action, offer optimization, or customer lifetime value models.
• Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms and modern analytics environments.
