Saudi Aramco Base Oil Company-Luberef is seeking a Process Safety Superintendent to join its team. This full-time position is based in Yanbu Al Sinaiyah, Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia, a key industrial hub. The company is committed to maintaining high operational standards and robust safety protocols within its facilities.

Role Overview

The Process Safety Superintendent serves as a technical expert and mentor within the Process Safety team. This role is central to leading complex hazard identification and risk assessment studies, and providing advanced technical guidance on critical process safety issues. The superintendent is responsible for ensuring the technical rigor and quality of all process safety deliverables, contributing directly to the company's safety performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate complex Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs), HAZOPs, LOPAs, and Safety Integrity Level (SIL) studies, as well as other quantitative risk assessments.
• Provide expert technical support and guidance on process design, modifications, and operational procedures to ensure inherent safety.
• Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific process safety standards, guidelines, and procedures.
• Conduct pre-startup safety reviews (PSSRs) for new or modified facilities.
• Perform process safety technical reviews for Management of Change (MOC) proposals.
• Act as a technical resource for incident investigations related to process safety events, identifying underlying technical causes.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior Process Safety Engineers.
• Stay abreast of new process safety technologies, methodologies, and regulatory developments.

Required Experience

Candidates for the Process Safety Superintendent position must possess more than 10 years of experience in process safety roles. This experience should demonstrate a proven track record in managing complex safety studies and providing expert technical guidance.

Work Type and Location

This is a full-time position based in Yanbu Al Sinaiyah, Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia. The role requires dedicated on-site presence to effectively oversee and contribute to process safety operations.
