Emergency Specialist

About the Role

Fakeeh Care Group is seeking an Emergency Specialist to join their team in Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves the assessment and management of patients presenting to the Emergency Department, ensuring care is delivered according to evidence-based practices, established standards, and Fakeeh Care's policies and procedures. The position requires 0-1 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform clinical duties in line with assigned clinical privileges.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and document findings in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) according to Fakeeh Care policies.
• Develop and document evidence-based care plans in the EMR, ensuring timely implementation.
• Serve as the Most Responsible Physician (MRP) for ER patients until an admission order under a new attending physician is received.
• Place medical consultation referrals to other disciplines as indicated.
• Document medical interventions performed on patients in a timely manner, adhering to Fakeeh Care policies.
• Educate patients and their families, engaging them in the care plan, and documenting education provided in the EMR.
• Attend facility duties and respond to calls as per the departmental/section call schedule.
• Participate in departmental and general staff meetings, contributing ideas for efficiency and patient satisfaction.
• Prepare medical reports for patients in accordance with Fakeeh Care policies.
• Contribute to teaching activities as requested by the medical department chairperson.

Emergency Team Leadership Responsibilities (When Acting as Team Leader)

• Liaise with the ED Chairperson regarding urgent matters.
• Ensure all staff adhere to protocols and procedures during shifts.
• Follow escalation processes for clinical or administrative conflicts.
• Foster a teamwork environment among staff and other patient care providers.
• Ensure smooth day-to-day departmental operations.
• Accept and respond to all incoming transfer calls, arranging appropriate placement in coordination with duty managers.
• Maintain consistent patient flow and assist with the timely disposition of pending admissions.
• Accelerate Radiology and Lab turnaround times in the main ED and Fast Track.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of responsibility.

• Complete mandatory education requirements at least one month prior to expiration.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to perform clinical duties as per assigned privileges.
• Strong understanding of evidence-based medical practices and standards of care.
• Proficiency in documenting patient information in EMR systems.
