About the Role

Sheraton is seeking a Host/Hostess to join its team. This full-time position involves greeting guests, managing seating arrangements, and ensuring a welcoming dining experience. The role requires 0-1 years of experience and focuses on maintaining service standards and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests upon arrival and determine the size of their party.
• Seat guests efficiently at clean, available tables, ensuring proper setup with chairs and current menus.
• Guide guests through dining areas and provide assistance as needed.
• Arrange tables, chairs, and settings, including organizing seating for groups with special requirements.
• Verify that place settings are complete with napkins, clean silverware, and all standard items.
• Inspect menus for currency, cleanliness, quantity, and presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, adhering to clean-as-you-go procedures.
• Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service quality, safety, and guest well-being.
• Follow all company safety and security policies, reporting any accidents or unsafe conditions.
• Ensure a clean and professional personal appearance and uniform.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, using clear and professional language.
• Answer telephones with appropriate etiquette.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, supporting team goals.
• Adhere to quality expectations and standards.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 0-1 years of experience in a similar role.
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• Capability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
• Strong communication skills and professional demeanor.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information and protecting company assets.
