About the Role

InterContinental Hotels Group is seeking a Hostess / Host to join the Food & Beverage team at Holiday Inn Riyadh Rose Yard. This full-time role is responsible for creating a welcoming first impression for guests, managing restaurant reservations, coordinating seating, and ensuring a smooth dining experience. The Hostess / Host will work closely with service and kitchen teams to maintain efficient guest flow while delivering professional service in line with Holiday Inn and IHG brand standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Warmly welcome guests upon arrival and escort them to their tables in a friendly and professional manner.
• Manage restaurant reservations, waitlists, and seating arrangements to maximize efficiency and guest satisfaction.
• Coordinate table assignments based on reservations, guest preferences, and operational requirements.
• Monitor restaurant occupancy and communicate table availability with the Food & Beverage team.
• Respond promptly to guest inquiries, special requests, and seating preferences.
• Assist with VIP arrivals, group reservations, and special occasions to ensure personalized guest experiences.
• Maintain an organized and welcoming reception area, ensuring menus and promotional materials are available and presented professionally.
• Coordinate with Captains, Food & Beverage Attendants, and the Kitchen to ensure smooth guest flow throughout service.
• Handle guest concerns courteously and escalate service issues to the Food & Beverage Supervisor when necessary.
• Answer telephone calls professionally, manage reservation inquiries, and provide accurate information about restaurant services and operating hours.
• Promote hotel dining promotions, special menus, and outlet events when appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with hotel grooming standards, hygiene practices, and health & safety procedures.
• Support outlet operations during busy periods and perform other duties as assigned by the Food & Beverage Supervisor or Outlets Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent; a Diploma in Hospitality is preferred.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Food & Beverage service, restaurant reception, or guest service, preferably within a hotel environment.

Required Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional attitude.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and courteous in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with reservation or POS systems are an advantage.
• Well-groomed appearance with a strong customer service focus.

Work Environment

This role operates within the Food & Beverage team at Holiday Inn Riyadh Rose Yard, requiring close coordination with service and kitchen staff to ensure efficient guest flow and a high standard of dining experience.
