About the Role

ADES - Advanced Energy Systems is seeking a Motor Man to join their team in Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves performing essential maintenance, repair, installation, and removal of equipment, with a focus on maximizing drilling operation efficiency, reliability, and safety of the rig. The position requires 0-1 years of experience.

Job Summary

The Motor Man is responsible for carrying out all maintenance activities, repairing, installing, and removing equipment. This includes watchkeeping and cleaning machinery spaces while prioritizing the safety of personnel, the environment, and equipment to ensure efficient, reliable, and safe drilling operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide engine room and machinery watchkeeping duties by monitoring machinery working temperatures and pressures.
• Check lubricating oil level readings and maintain a daily log of all engine room equipment.
• Report any leaks, abnormal readings, vibrations, or sounds to the shift supervisor promptly.
• Lubricate moving parts such as gears, shafts, and bearings on engines and auxiliary equipment.
• Carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs on engine room equipment and machinery as directed.
• Assist with repairs to engines and other equipment.
• Conduct stocktaking of maintenance department materials as directed.
• Maintain all tools and equipment in a clean and serviceable condition.

Housekeeping and Safety

• Maintain the engine room, associated machine spaces, and workshop in a clean and organized state, free of hazards, both prior to and upon completion of work tasks or repairs.
• Dispose of debris according to the company’s hazardous material segregation policy and waste management policy, considering environmental and safety aspects.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent climbing (stairs, ladders).
• Frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling in accordance with company procedures.
• Frequent bending, twisting, and standing.
• Ability to work outdoors under all extreme weather conditions (noise, humidity, cold, heat).
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Ability to work day/night shifts.
