Pharmacist

About the Role

Al Salama Hospital is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Pharmacist to join its healthcare team. This full-time role is essential for managing daily pharmacy operations and ensuring safe, effective, and patient-centered medication management. The Pharmacist will support clinical teams and adhere to professional, ethical, and regulatory standards within the hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispense medications accurately in accordance with prescriptions and hospital policies.
• Review and evaluate prescriptions to ensure appropriateness, safety, and effectiveness for patients.
• Provide patient counseling and drug information to patients and healthcare professionals.
• Prepare and handle medications in compliance with pharmacy standards, including IV admixtures and extemporaneous preparations as required.
• Ensure proper storage, handling, and inventory control of medications, including controlled and narcotic drugs.
• Identify, prevent, and report medication errors to ensure patient safety.
• Conduct inspections of medication storage areas and ensure compliance with hospital policies.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from an accredited institution.
• Valid professional license from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
• Knowledge of hospital pharmacy standards, regulations, and CBAHI requirements.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience.
