Plumber

About the Role

Marriott Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Plumber to join its team. This full-time position involves maintaining and repairing plumbing systems, ensuring all installations and fixtures operate correctly. The role requires 2-5 years of experience in plumbing.

Key Responsibilities

• Fix minor plumbing issues, including unclogging drains.
• Assemble pipe sections, tubing, and fittings according to specifications.
• Fill pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air to detect and locate leaks.
• Review blueprints, building codes, and specifications to plan installations.
• Study building plans and inspect structures to accurately plan plumbing installations.
• Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required angles.
• Install and maintain pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances, and fixtures.
• Perform miscellaneous minor repairs as needed.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure functionality.

Operational and Safety Compliance

• Adhere to all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
• Report safety hazards, accidents, or injuries promptly.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards in all tasks.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 75 pounds without assistance.
• Capable of assisting with moving, lifting, carrying, and placing objects weighing in excess of 100 pounds.
• Proficiency in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight.
• Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Competence in moving up and down a ladder.
• Capacity to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
