Accountant General with SOCPA

About the Role

Talent Diamond is seeking an Accountant General with SOCPA certification to join a client's team in Medina, Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is designed for a detail-oriented finance and accounting professional who will support daily financial operations, ensure accurate record-keeping, and maintain compliance with established policies and procedures.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for verifying the accuracy of financial figures, postings, and documents. Key duties include organizing and maintaining financial records, as well as recording, storing, accessing, and analyzing computerized financial information to support the finance department's objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Review financial figures, postings, and supporting documents for accuracy.
• Organize, secure, and maintain financial files, records, cash, and cash equivalents in accordance with company policies.
• Record, classify, code, and summarize numerical and financial data using journals, ledgers, accounting systems, and computerized tools.
• Prepare and maintain financial, accounting, auditing, payroll, statistical, and related reports and tables.
• Support and complete period-end closing procedures and required financial reports.
• Prepare, review, reconcile, and issue bills, invoices, and account statements.
• Follow up on overdue accounts and vendor invoices until payment or resolution.
• Prepare daily consolidated deposits for cash received through cash-handling activities.
• Identify, document, communicate, and follow up on cash variances.
• Prepare, maintain, and administer cashier banks and related records or agreements.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial, company, customer, and employee information.
• Protect company assets and ensure financial records are handled securely.
• Prepare and review written documents accurately and completely.
• Communicate professionally with colleagues, customers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships across departments.
• Support team members in achieving departmental and organizational objectives.
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.

Qualifications and Experience

• SOCPA certification is required.
• 0-1 years of experience in finance and accounting.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance.
• Proficiency in reviewing financial figures and documents for accuracy.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

The role operates within a professional working environment. Occasionally, the employee may be required to move, lift, carry, push, pull, or position objects weighing up to approximately 10 pounds without assistance.
