Role Summary

Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts is seeking an Accountant General to join our team in Medina, Almadinah Almunawwarah. This is a contract position suitable for individuals with 0-1 years of experience in accounting. The Accountant General plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records and supporting daily financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify the accuracy of financial figures, postings, and documents.
• Organize, secure, and maintain all financial files, records, cash, and cash equivalents in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Record, store, access, and analyze computerized financial information effectively.
• Classify, code, and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and maintain financial records using journals, ledgers, and computer systems.
• Prepare, maintain, audit, and distribute various statistical, financial, accounting, auditing, and payroll reports and tables.
• Execute period-end closing procedures and generate specified reports.
• Prepare, review, reconcile, and issue bills, invoices, and account statements according to company procedures.
• Follow up on and resolve past due accounts and vendor invoices until full payment is received or the issue is resolved.
• Prepare daily consolidated deposits for cash received by all cash handling employees.
• Document, maintain, communicate, and act upon all identified cash variances.
• Prepare, maintain, and administer all cashier banks and contracts.

• Answer telephones using appropriate professional etiquette.
• Perform physical tasks such as moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
• Foster and maintain positive working relationships with team members.
• Support the team in achieving shared objectives.
• Listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
• Execute other reasonable job duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience
