Role Summary: Chef De Partie

The Chef De Partie is responsible for maintaining high standards in all dessert food preparation and service within the assigned kitchens. This role requires adherence to management standards and contributes to the overall culinary quality at Shangri-La Jeddah.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality service to customers and employees, maintaining a positive attitude and team spirit in line with Shangri-La philosophy.
• Coordinate restaurant, banquet, and food production duties for supervised employees.
• Monitor the freshness, presentation, and temperature of all food served.
• Ensure proper control of food portioning, serving requisitions, and receiving from stores.
• Manage correct timing during service to ensure food is consistently of the highest standards.
• Regularly check the quality of prepared food, focusing on taste and temperature.
• Ensure a uniform visual appearance for all dishes, with presentation and garnish prepared according to established standards.
• Implement and monitor portion control based on recipe cards and butcher tests to minimize waste and spoilage.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar capacity.
• Demonstrated positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to display initiative and creativity in culinary tasks.
