About the Unit Manager - Canteen Role

Almarai is seeking a Unit Manager - Canteen to oversee the efficient management of accommodation facilities and six satellite site canteens. This full-time position requires a dedicated professional to ensure high standards of service and operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain best catering practices, focusing on food quality, freshness, taste, and appropriate temperature control.
• Ensure clean food services are provided to all site employees.
• Effectively manage food costs and actively work to minimize food wastage without compromising the quality of catering services.

Required Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a reputable university.
• A formal qualification in Hotel Management.
• 5 to 7 years of experience in Catering Services, specifically for sites supporting over 750 residents within remote industrial or oil/gas operations.

Technical and Professional Skills

• Exposure to computer systems and the SAP environment.
• Familiarity with HACCP and Food Safety ISO 22000 standards, including an understanding of Microbiology and Pathogen risks.
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
• Demonstrated financial acumen.
• Proven ability to be customer-focused and action-oriented.
• Skills in planning, aligning actions, and demonstrating accountability.
• Capability in collaboration and building effective teams.
• Proficiency in achieving compliance with Food Safety, Quality Management, and Environmental Management standards (ISO certification).
• Computer literacy is essential; SAP exposure is considered a plus.
