CNS Systems Engineer

About the Role

SANS is seeking a CNS Systems Engineer to join their team. This is a full-time position focused on the deployment and operational effectiveness of communication, navigational aids, and surveillance (CNS) systems. The role is critical in ensuring these systems meet SANS' operational needs and requirements for delivering safe and efficient Air Traffic Control services.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to participate in the execution of CNS systems deployment. The engineer will ensure that deployed systems meet the operational needs and requirements of SANS, contributing to the delivery of Air Traffic Control services in a safe and efficient manner. This involves adherence to set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), agreed budgets, and adopted policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the deployment of communication, navigational aids, and surveillance (CNS) systems.
• Ensure that deployed CNS systems meet SANS' operational needs and requirements.
• Verify that systems support the safe and efficient delivery of Air Traffic Control services.
• Adhere to established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) during system deployment and operation.
• Work within agreed budgets and adopted policies and procedures for all CNS system activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience required: 0-1 years.
• Demonstrated understanding of communication, navigational aids, and surveillance (CNS) systems.
• Ability to work within a structured framework of KPIs, budgets, and operational policies.

This is a full-time position within SANS, contributing to critical infrastructure for air traffic control services.
