Master-Works is seeking a Data & Analytics Consultant to lead business intelligence and data engineering functions. This full-time role involves overseeing the enterprise data warehouse, ETL/ELT pipelines, and the BI reporting ecosystem. The consultant will also act as a strategic business partner across various departments, including Operations, HR, Finance, IT, and Strategy.

Role Overview

The Data & Analytics Consultant will be responsible for capturing business requirements, defining key performance indicators (KPIs), and delivering actionable decision-support tools. This position requires a blend of technical leadership and strategic business partnership to translate business needs into effective data and analytics solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business and data requirements.
• Translate business requirements into data and analytics solutions.
• Design and develop Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
• Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, opportunities, and business risks.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Support data modeling, data integration, and data quality activities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs, metrics, and performance indicators.
• Provide analytical insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
• Work with Data Engineers, BI Developers, Data Scientists, and business stakeholders.
• Conduct data validation and ensure the accuracy and consistency of analytical outputs.
• Prepare presentations, analytical reports, and executive-level insights.
• Support the implementation of data governance, standards, and best practices.
• Identify opportunities to automate reporting and improve analytics processes.
• Provide consulting and advisory services related to data and analytics.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, analytics methodologies, and AI-driven analytics.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or Data Consulting.
• Strong experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI and data visualization.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL, and data warehousing.
• Experience translating business requirements into technical/analytical solutions.
• Extensive hands-on background with Informatica PowerCenter or Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS).
• Mastery of SQL Server or modern cloud data warehouses, relational database design, and query optimization.
• Expert-level competency in Microsoft Power BI (Power BI Service, Gateway management, Premium capacity, DAX).
• Demonstrated cross-functional domain knowledge across business operations, corporate finance, workforce analytics, and strategic execution.

Preferred Skills and Knowledge

• Experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure Data Services, or cloud analytics platforms.
• Knowledge of Python for data analysis.
• Experience with DAX and Power Query.
• Understanding of Data Governance, Data Quality, and Master Data Management.
• Experience in AI/ML analytics or integrating AI capabilities into business solutions.
• Certifications such as Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst, Azure Data Engineer, or related certifications.
