Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a Director - Design Standards - Facades & Structures (Stadiums) to join its team. This full-time role is integral to establishing and enhancing design standards for major sports infrastructure projects within the company's portfolio.

Role Summary

The Director of Design Standards (Facades & Structures) is responsible for developing, governing, and continuously improving the design standards framework across all stadium, arena, and major sports infrastructure projects. This position serves as the technical authority for stadium structures, long-span roofs, building envelopes, façades, and spectator venue engineering systems. The primary goal is to ensure that all projects achieve world-class levels of safety, performance, durability, sustainability, architectural excellence, and operational efficiency.

Key activities include developing and maintaining design standards, technical specifications, performance requirements, and compliance frameworks that are applied consistently across multiple sports assets. The Director will also support project teams through design reviews, technical governance, innovation initiatives, and independent assurance processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and govern the Sports Design Standards for stadiums, arenas, training facilities, and associated sports infrastructure.
• Act as the subject matter expert for façade and structural systems across all sports developments.
• Advise on the design and delivery of various sports venues, including FIFA-compliant stadiums, multi-purpose arenas, athletic stadiums, and indoor sports venues.
• Oversee governance and compliance pertaining to design standards.
• Drive innovation and sustainability initiatives within the scope of design standards.
• Manage stakeholder relationships relevant to design standards and technical governance.

Design Standards and Technical Authority

This role involves establishing and maintaining minimum technical requirements for critical components, including:

• Stadium structures and spectator seating bowl structures.
• Long-span roof systems and retractable roof technologies.
• Façade and building envelope systems.
• Structural resilience and redundancy.
• Building movement and dynamic performance.
• Durability and lifecycle performance of structural and envelope systems.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
• 0-1 years of experience in a relevant field.
