Electrical Technician

About the Role

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Electrical Technician to join their team in Medina, Al Madinah. This full-time role involves the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and wiring across various settings, ensuring safe and efficient operations in compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform reactive and planned preventive maintenance (PPM) activities for LV/MV systems, low current systems, and control panels.
• Install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, power distribution, and control systems in commercial and industrial facilities.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to identify potential issues and ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose and repair electrical malfunctions in systems and equipment such as FACP Panels, BMS System, UPS System, PAVA System, fan motors, pumps, control panels, lighting panels, distribution panels, circuit breakers, and lighting fixtures.
• Perform routine cleaning and servicing of electrical components to ensure cleanliness and efficiency.
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate and prioritize maintenance tasks, ensuring timely completion of work orders.
• Document all maintenance and repair activities, including equipment status, work performed, and parts used, in maintenance logs and reports.
• Diagnose and repair system malfunctions requiring specific technical knowledge and relevant qualifications, understanding time and material requirements.
• Seek clarification and technical support when needed and escalate issues as appropriate.
• Respond promptly to service requests and emergency callouts, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new electrical systems and equipment as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in electrical systems installation, maintenance, and repair.
• Familiarity with applicable electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations.
• Knowledge of building automation systems and controls.
• Ability to provide guidance and support to junior technicians.
