About the Role

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, *** is seeking a full-time Engineer Pool Maintenance to join its team in the Red Sea region. This role is designed for candidates with 0-1 years of experience, focusing on ensuring optimal functionality of hotel systems and equipment while maintaining high guest satisfaction.

The Engineer Pool Maintenance is responsible for efficiently processing customer repair requests, communicating directly with guests to resolve maintenance issues, and executing both preventive and corrective maintenance across various hotel systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to and process customer repair requests promptly.
• Communicate effectively with guests to resolve maintenance issues and ensure their satisfaction.
• Perform preventive maintenance on kitchen tools, equipment, and mechanical appliance rooms, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machinery to identify potential issues.
• Transport necessary equipment, such as tools and radios, to work sites.
• Identify, locate, and operate all equipment shut-off valves and utility shut-off levers for buildings.
• Maintain required maintenance inventory and order necessary parts and supplies as needed.
• Communicate daily activities and issues to other teams using approved communication standards and programs.

Technical Duties and Repairs

• Perform all surface preparation, painting, minor repairs to drywall and woodwork, and replace light bulbs and air conditioner filters.
• Thoroughly clean painting or repair areas upon completion of work.
• Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on various types of equipment, including plumbing (*, unclogging toilets and drains), electrical components (lamps, switches, electrical outlets), cosmetic items, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, and internet devices.
• Program televisions and execute general engineering-related maintenance and inventory tasks.
• Utilize the lockout/tagout system before performing any maintenance work.
• Perform repairs to indoor and outdoor landscaping and outdoor landscaping sprinklers.

Operational Standards and Safety

• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Report maintenance issues, hazardous working conditions, accidents, and injuries promptly.
• Successfully complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Store flammable materials strictly according to safety instructions.
• Ensure a clean and complete work uniform is worn, maintaining a neat and professional appearance at all times.
• Respect confidentiality in the dissemination of banner and/or hotel-specific information and protect all company property.
• Greet all customers according to company standards, anticipate and address their service needs, and assist people with disabilities.
• Adhere to all quality requirements and standards.
• Develop positive and constructive professional relationships with peers, uniting and helping each other to achieve common goals.
• Listen and respond appropriately to other employees' problems, using clear and courteous language in all communications.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• A minimum of 0-1 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Possess basic knowledge or the ability to acquire knowledge in the following categories: air conditioning and refrigeration, electricity, mechanics, plumbing, pneumatic and electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finishing, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and building systems.
• Basic computer skills, including the ability to enter air handling unit schedules and perform temperature changes.

Physical Demands

• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than 50 pounds (* kg) without assistance, and heavier objects with assistance.
• Capability to ascend and descend stairs, service ramps, and ladders.
• Ability to reach objects overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Proficiency in entering and finding work-related information using computers.
• Willingness to perform other reasonable job duties as requested.
